Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Women Leaders Alliance website (the “Website”, “we”, “us” or “our”), owned and operated by WLA Australia Ltd, trading as Women Leaders Alliance (“WLA”), with its registered office located at c/o Clarity Accounting, La Spezia Cr, Secret Harbour, Western Australia. By using our Website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) as they are written, without changes. Please take a few minutes to read them — they explain what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

1.  Introduction

Our Website is an online platform that connects, supports and grows women in leadership around the world. Through the Website you can learn about WLA, become a member, join programs, cohorts and collectives, register for events, access resources, and connect with our global community. In these Terms, the people who use the Website are referred to as “you” or “users”.

If you click “Join” when asked, or simply use the Website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms. Please read this whole document carefully. Any related documents or policies we link to — such as our Privacy Policy — form part of these Terms and are accepted along with them.

By accessing the Website, or using any service we provide, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. If you choose to act outside these Terms, you do so at your own risk.

2.  Who Can Use the Website

You may use the Website and our services if you are at least eighteen (18) years old, are legally able to enter into a contract with us, and comply with these Terms and all laws that apply to you — local, state, national and international.

If you are not authorised to use the Website or a particular service, please don't try to access it, directly or indirectly. Unauthorised access is prohibited and may break the law.

We may decline to offer access to the Website or our services to any person or organisation, and we may change our eligibility criteria at any time. Where the law does not allow us to do this, this provision does not apply.

3.  The Services We Offer

We provide a platform through which the Women Leaders Alliance offers membership of a global community of women in leadership, mentoring and leadership development programs, cohorts and collectives, events and workshops (online and in person), and access to resources, tools and partnership opportunities designed to support connection, growth and impact.

4.  What You Agree To When You Use the Website

When you use the Website and our services, you agree that:

  • You will use the Website, and any services provided by us or our partners, for lawful purposes only, and comply with all laws and regulations that apply to you.

  • You will give us true and accurate information whenever we ask for it. We may verify the information you provide, and if it turns out to be untrue (in whole or in part), we may reject your registration or stop you from using our services without prior notice.

  • You use the Website and enter into any dealings through it at your own risk, using your own good judgment.

  • Despite our best efforts, other users (including unauthorised users or hackers) may post offensive or inappropriate material, and others may be able to collect personal information you choose to share publicly and misuse it. We do not approve of this behaviour, but we are not responsible for how others use information you choose to disclose publicly on the platform — so please think carefully about what you share.

  • You will not post or transmit anything unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or indecent — whether text, images or graphics — or anything that encourages criminal conduct or could give rise to legal liability.

  • You will not post or share any information, software or material that infringes someone else's rights — including their privacy, copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property — without first getting the owner's permission.

  • You will not alter, damage or delete content that isn't yours, or interfere with other people's ability to access and use the Website.

  • You will indemnify us for any claims, losses or legal costs we face because of something you did, or failed to do, while using the Website.

5.  Your Commitment

By using the Website, you confirm that:

  • The commitments you make under these Terms are real, valid and legally enforceable against you.

  • There are no legal proceedings against you that would seriously affect your ability to meet your obligations under these Terms.

  • You comply with all requirements that apply to you and your business — including intellectual property laws and your tax and statutory obligations — and will continue to do so.

  • You have the legal right to agree to these Terms and to do what they require of you, and you have not infringed anyone else's intellectual property rights.

We are responsible for placing appropriate disclaimers and terms of use on the Website.

6.  Intellectual Property

If you provide us with your trademarks, logos, designs or other intellectual property (for example, as a member, partner or sponsor), you give us permission to display them on the Website and in related places where needed. Each of us keeps full ownership of our own trademarks and logos — displaying them on the Website or in promotional material doesn't give either of us any ownership rights in the other's brand.

The Website, and everything on it, belongs to Women Leaders Alliance and its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. Our name, product names and logos are our trademarks. Nothing on the Website gives you any licence or right to copy, frame or reuse the Website or its materials, except as these Terms expressly allow or with our prior written consent. Please don't attempt to override or get around any usage rules or restrictions on the Website.

Except where we have expressly given you permission in writing, we do not grant you any other rights or licences to our services, our content or our intellectual property.

In short: apart from the limited rights these Terms give you, we reserve all rights, title and interest in and to our services and all related intellectual property.

7.  Data and Content

“Data” means any identifiable information about users generated or collected through the Website: such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, services used, and preferences. If you have access to any Data through your involvement with WLA, you agree to use it only as these Terms allow.

You promise not to sell or disclose any Data to anyone else, in whole or in part, for any purpose.

Some information available through our services is confidential to Women Leaders Alliance. You agree not to share that information without our prior written consent. Our Privacy Policy (WLA-POL-12) and Confidentiality Policy (WLA-POL-13) explain how we protect information.

When you submit content to the Website (for example, posts, comments, images or stories), you give us an ongoing, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that content for our purposes, in any media that exists now or in the future. You also waive any claims of moral rights or attribution in relation to that content being used by third-party services connected with us.

We may obtain business contact information from third-party vendors who source their data publicly. We can't control, and don't endorse or guarantee, the accuracy, legality, completeness or quality of products, services, advertisements or other content that appears in, or is linked from, our services.

8.  Our Relationship

These Terms don't make us partners, joint venturers, employer and employee, or agents of each other. We are not responsible for your acts or omissions, and you cannot represent Women Leaders Alliance, speak on our behalf, or make commitments for us.

9.  Indemnity (You Cover Us)

You agree to cover Women Leaders Alliance — and our directors, officers, employees, partners, representatives and agents — for any losses, damages, claims or legal proceedings that arise because of something you did or failed to do. This includes claims about infringement of intellectual property or other rights, breaches of your promises under these Terms, failure to meet your obligations, or breaking any applicable laws, regulations or tax obligations. This commitment continues even after these Terms end.

10.  Release of Claims

You release Women Leaders Alliance — and our related entities, officers, agents, licensors, partners and employees — from all liability for claims, damages, costs and expenses (including legal costs) of every kind connected in any way with your use of the Website. You accept that facts you believe to be true now may later turn out to be different, and you accept that risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, you also waive any similar rights you may have under other laws.

11.  Limits on Our Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage to you or anyone else arising from any transaction under these Terms.

You are solely responsible for any claims or damages arising from your use of our services, and you agree to hold us harmless against those claims. We are also not liable for claims or damages caused by your own negligence, misconduct or misrepresentation, or that of your representatives.

We are not liable to you for loss of profits or anticipated profits, loss of business or revenue, or any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from these Terms — regardless of the type of claim, and even if we've been told such damages were possible — unless you can prove the loss was deliberately caused by us.

12.  Ending This Agreement

We may end this agreement if you seriously breach these Terms and don't fix the breach within 30 days of us giving you written notice, if insolvency proceedings are filed against you, or if you infringe someone else's rights, including intellectual property rights.

Either of us may also end this agreement for any reason by giving the other 30 days' written notice. The agreement ends when that notice period expires.

13.  What Happens When It Ends

If this agreement ends or expires, we will remove and discontinue the services we provide to you on the Website, effective immediately.

We are not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect or consequential — that you incur because this agreement has ended.

During any notice period, both of us must continue to meet our existing obligations under these Terms, and this requirement survives termination.

14.  Governing Law and Resolving Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, regardless of conflict-of-law rules or where you live. You agree that the courts of Western Australia have exclusive jurisdiction to enforce these Terms or any decision arising from them.

If you have a dispute with another user, that dispute is between the two of you — we are under no obligation to get involved. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release us (and our related entities, officers, directors, employees, service providers, agents and successors) from all claims, demands and damages of every kind connected with disputes between users, and agree to cover us for any losses we incur in connection with them.

If you are unable to resolve a dispute with another user, we may remove you from the Website and end this agreement.

15.  Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (and our related entities, officers, directors, members, employees and agents) provide the Website “as is”, and disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We don't guarantee that the content on our Website, or on websites we link to, is accurate or complete, and we accept no responsibility for: (a) errors, mistakes or inaccuracies in content; (b) personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to or use of the Website; (c) unauthorised access to our servers or to personal or financial information stored on them; (d) interruptions to the Website; (e) bugs, viruses or similar issues transmitted through the Website by third parties; or (f) errors or omissions in content, or loss or damage arising from content posted or shared via the Website. We can't guarantee the privacy, security or authenticity of information transmitted over the internet or stored on connected systems.

16.  Notices

Unless stated otherwise, formal notices to us should be sent by email to info@womenleadersalliance.net or by post to WLA Australia Ltd, c/o Clarity Accounting, La Spezia Cr, Secret Harbour, Western Australia. Notices to you will be sent to the email address or mailing address you have given us (as updated by you through the Website from time to time).

Any formal notice, demand or request relating to these Terms must be in writing and delivered by email, in person, by courier with proof of delivery, or by registered post. Notices are effective when received — or, if sent by registered post, five (5) days after posting. Either of us can change our notice address by letting the other know in the way described here.

17.  Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Website, will take effect thirty (30) calendar days after posting, will not apply retrospectively, and will not apply to disputes that arose before the change took effect. We will also send the updated Terms to the contact address you've provided. By continuing to use the Website, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms — so please review them regularly and keep your contact details current.

We may also change, update or discontinue the Website (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, and we are not liable to you or anyone else for doing so.

18.  Events Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure)

Except for payment obligations, neither of us is responsible for delays or failures in meeting obligations under these Terms caused by things beyond our reasonable control — for example, third-party software failures, natural disasters, government actions, strikes, network or utility outages, fire, flood, epidemics or freight embargoes.
